Willie “B” Bell Coggins

February 25, 1911 — July 26, 2021

Queen Willie Bell “B” Coggins was born February 25, 1911, in Summerfield, La, to the Late Andy Davis and the late Eula Davis.

Monday, July 26, 2021. After Living 110 blessed and thankful years, she was the oldest living native in Union County. ”B” transitioned in her room in El Dorado, AR, with her loving son and best friend by her side.

“B” was a member of Greater Lee Chapel, where she remained until she transitioned.

110 years on earth, “B” traveled many places, had many friends, and always made sure she told people how blessed she was to live 110 years. At an early age, “B” learned how to work, cook, bake, and clean. She was a woman that was a jack of all trades. Nothing could beat her biscuit baking no matter who tried; no one could make their biscuits taste like “B's” Biscuits; not only was she a master at biscuit baking, taking care of her family and other families. “B” mastered ironing, which she took on as a job and was paid. $10.00 a week to provide for her family.

“B” joined in matrimony with Woodrow Cogging Sr. in 1949.

She’s proceeded in death by her parents and her husband of 19 years Woodrow Sr., three daughters, Eula Mae Cook, Eva Nell Buggs, and Gloria Coggins, two Sons James Frazier and John S. Levingston, one brother Clinton Davis, three sisters Annie B. Phillips, Mae Lou Duggar, and Artie Mae Burges. Two grandsons, Mickey Joe Murphy and Anthony Frazier, and one great-granddaughter.

 

“B” leaves to cherish her 110 years of memories, two sons, Willie Ray Coggins and Woodrow Coggins Jr., three daughters Willie Mae Johnson, Carolyn Morris (James), and Annie Moore (James), all of El Dorado, AR. One sister Odell Gray of Junction City, La,16 grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, forty-two great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-granddaughter, and a special honorary daughter Erlene Gray of El Dorado, AR.
