Sister Naeomi Washington Meadows was born October 22, 1931, in Strong, Arkansas, to the late Garland and Verna Allen Washington.

Sister Naeomi Washington Meadows was the oldest daughter of ten children and, at an early age, accepted Christ and later united with Curry Chapel A.M.E Church.

Sister Naeomi Washington Meadows attended Strong Public Schools. As a young lady, she married Thaddis Richard Sr, and she had two sons from this union.

Sister Naeomi Washington Meadows was employed by Cooper Tires and Rubber. She enjoyed attending church, fishing, and cooking for many years after retirement. She was also a pillar in her community and well known as Mrs. Dooney.

Sister Naeomi Washington Meadows is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Meadows, and four brothers, Theodis, George, Eddie Lee, and Herman Washington. Three sisters, Francis Washington, Eunice Shaw, and Jearlean Preston.

Sister Naeomi Washington Meadows leaves to cherish her memories to her two sons Thaddis Richard II (Glenda) of El Dorado, AR and Freddie Richard of Strong, AR, A brother Garland Washington Jr (Shirley) of East Chicago, IN. and a sister Vivian Gatewood of Santa Maria, CA. 9 grandchildren. Twenty-seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. And a host of family and friends.
