Jaylyn McMurrian

July 29, 1996 — July 4, 2022

On July 29, 1996, a smiling baby boy was born to Natasha Burrell-Hay and Raymond McMurrian in El Dorado, AR. He was joyfully raised by his grandparents, Lee and Harriett Johnson.

Jaylyn McMurrian, known as "MAC" or "J Boogie," was known to be the life of the party. He joined the Zion Watch Baptist Church at an early age, where he was a part of the puppet ministry, children's choir, and usher ministry. While attending El Dorado High School, he was on the EHS Varsity Basketball Team. After graduating in 2014, he became a devoted father. He quickly joined the workforce and mastered several roles, including industrial tasks, retail, food industry, and channeled a host of other avenues. He was about "bringing the fun" with his high energy, dancing, and displaying his "ear to ear" contagious smile. He loved being with his friends, children, and special friend, Chasity Veasey. After trying different job roles, he decided to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps and obtained his CDLs. He began to drive trucks, both locally and over-the-road, but always made time to enjoy life and smile!

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond McMurrian, and his maternal grandfather, Lee Johnson, Stepfather, James Hay, and best friend, George Thrower.

He leaves his cherished memories to his mother, Natasha Burrell-Hay, father, Raymond McMurrian(Detroit, MI); maternal grandmother Harriett Johnson, and paternal grandmother, Pecola Murrell(Detroit, MI); children, Zaden McMurrian(Shreveport, LA), Xavier McMurrian and Londynn McMurrian(both of El Dorado, AR) and bonus daughter Paris James(El Dorado, AR); two sisters Sheena McMurrian(Detroit, MI) and LeTigra McMurrian(Little Rock, AR); one brother Danzel McMurrian(Little Rock, AR); three step brothers Javonta Gray(Crystal), Welsey Hay, and Malicus Hay(all of Oklahoma City, OK); one god-brother, Taylor Williams; bonus mother Kiya Billings; bonus sister Kynesha Harris and a special friend, Chasity Veasey, along with a host of nieces, nephews, close cousins, and friends who will forever miss and love him.
