Earlean Dunn

September 10, 1932 — June 20, 2022

Earlean Dunn was born September 10, 1932, to Calvin and Mealand Johnson Ross in Lisbon, AR. Earlean was never alone, growing up with 14 siblings.

Earlean attended Smackover Training School. She married Victor Dunn, and three children were born to that union, Victor, Gary, and Tyrone. The family lived in Altadena, California, for years; she was a homemaker and later worked as a domestic worker. Earlean later moved back home to Smackover, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church El Dorado, AR, and later joined Calvary Baptist Church of Louann, AR. Earlean could really pray! She loved her Pastor and church family, and she loved God.

Earlean served as an RSVP Volunteer for eight years.

She was a member of the First Financial Bank Travel Club and the Prestige Club of First Financial Bank.

Earlean participated in church activities, including the Nursing Home Ministry and the Samaritan Purse Ministry.

She regularly gave gifts to the young kids in church. Earlean "owned" her chosen seat in church; everyone knew it was hers!

Earlean enjoyed life and stated many times that she had "no regrets." She LOVED shopping in any manner, looking through catalogs she called "wishbooks," fashion, dressing, and especially hats which showed in her vast collection. Earlean loved food, talking to people, traveling, and was always on the go. She loved pictures and especially loved being photographed. She enjoyed dinner parties, and going to Red Lobster for her birthday was a special treat.

Earlene was a collector of many things and was very protective of her many collections. She loved laughing at Steve Harvey on Family Feud and always said Steve and shopping were her therapy. Talking on the phone kept her busy, and Earlean was known for sharing her opinion and specialized in advising and instructing others on what to do! She enjoyed talking to her siblings. Earlean was very open, totally assertive, and regularly pointed out that she was not about to change! She was young in spirit, and while many admired her external beauty, her internal beauty was truly God-sent!

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Victor Alvin Dunn of Seattle, WA, Gary Jerome Dunn (Jodie) Ruston, LA, and stepdaughter, Patricia A. Tucker, Springfield, MA. three grandchildren, and 8½ great-grandchildren. Sisters, Vera Jones- Mt. Holly, AR, Pearlie Ross Williams (Ernest)- Bearden, AR,
