Willie Williams was born on July 4, 1949, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Olean Williams and John Henry Williams Sr. Willie confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He united with St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, now known as New St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board until his departure.
Willie was a proud graduate of Smith High School in Norphlet, Arkansas. He was employed at Walmart Supercenter in El Dorado for 26 years, where he enjoyed his coworkers and cherished meeting new friends each day.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, Sammie Lee Williams. He was married to Flora Curley in 1969, and to this union five children were born: Melissa (John) of Chicago, Illinois; Willie J. Williams of Peoria, Illinois; Christopher R. Williams of Peoria, Illinois; Carlos D. Williams of Peoria, Illinois; and Michael B. Williams of Peoria, Illinois. He was blessed with 42 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. He later married Delois Brodie, and to this union one child was born, Francisco Brodie of Chula Vista, California.
He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers: John Henry Williams Jr. of El Dorado, Arkansas; Donald Lee Williams of Smackover, Arkansas; and Gary Williams of Harker Heights, Texas.
Willie "Trouble" Williams loved all of his family unconditionally, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
