Willie Grimes

Wille Edward Grimes was born on August 27, 1937, to George and Ora Grimes in Norphlet, Arkansas. He departed his life on Friday, June 4, 2021, in Conway, Arkansas. Willie gave his life to Christ at an early age while attending Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Norphlet and was a true believer in the power of prayer.

Willie graduated from Smith High School in Norphlet, Arkansas, in 1956 and served in the US Army; afterward, he entered into marriage with Dorothy Howard, who preceded him in death. Willie was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Golden State Warriors.

Willie was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Ora Grimes, daughter, Tiffany Trezvant, and five sisters and brothers.

Willie is survived by his sister, Mary Jenson, of Eldorado, Arkansas, brother, Luther Ray Grimes of Michigan, sons, Gill Grimes and George Grimes of Eldorado, daughters, Connie Grimes, Karen Grimes and Selena Grimes, Joy Jeffers- Bush (Robert), Tracy Saxton, and Tiara Saxton-Smith (Reggie) of Conway, Arkansas, Jackie Roberts (John) of Pine Bluff and Cerickia Gilmore (Marcus) of Russellville and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
