William Harold Jones, of El Dorado, AR, departed this life on November 22, 2024. A skilled artisan, he died doing what he loved: working hard on home renovations/remodeling/carpentry. He died of a heart attack.
He was born in Huttig, AR, to Bill and Annie Ruth Jones. He had a personality that could make you laugh even when you didn't want to. If he loved you, he loved you forever. If you messed up, he would call you on it. He was known for his witticisms. He could often be heard saying things such as, "You can't do nothing slick to a can of oil. A can of oil is already slick!" He loved hanging out with his family and friends, bringing love and laughter, and often a bit of mischief, to the gatherings.
Widely known as "Groove," he was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Shelecia R. Jones, two brothers, Billy and Jamie, his parents, his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is survived by one daughter, K'Tesia K. Jones, seven brothers, Dennis and Duane (Jennifer) Jones of Huttig, AR, Ronald Jones of Little Rock, AR, Darryl Jones and Chris White of El Dorado, AR, Fredrick (Diane) Jefferson of Fort Worth, TX and Sedrick Jefferson of Arlington, TX. Four sisters, Joyce (Al) Hall of Altus, OK, Joyce Jones Bennett and Kimberly (Bruce) Williams of El Dorado, AR, and Shawanna (Glenn) Jefferson-Young of Waxahachie, TX. One granddaughter, the apple of his eye, Cassady Renae Sutton, one godson, Dallas Wayne, and a host of relatives and friends who will all miss him greatly.
