Wanda "Woolee" Lee Simpkins

Wanda Lee Simpkins was born April 7^th, 1967 in Monroe, LA to Roosevelt Sr. & Rosie Lee Simpkins.

At a later date she moved to Oklahoma City where she accepted Christ at an early age. She then attended John Marshall High where she graduated in 1985. After graduating she later met Oliver King. Under that Union 4 kids were born; Kendra, Kristara, Olivia, Olajuwon.

After being married for 20 years she later met Douglas Willis whom she dearly loved and helped her on the raising of her kids and grandkids, whence was the happiest days of her life. Wanda was a woman that loved to cook which brought laughter, enjoyment, brought loved ones together by clowning and dancing.

She never met a stranger no matter where she went. Before her passing, she gave out over 300 hugs during her father’s (Roosevelt Simpkins Sr.) Thanksgiving give-away.

She loved her children and grandchildren, had a contagious smile. She was full of spirit and loved her family. She would travel no matter what if anybody needed her. She didn’t mind, or complain. We knew truly that her children and grandchildren was her everything.

She was preceded in death by her Grandma Roberta Simpkins, and Grandpa James C. Heard, 2 grandchildren Ja’Haven Cooksey, Riley Holmes, 3 nieces Laquita, Latrice, Staquesha, 1 nephew Craig of Oklahoma city.

Her loving and everlasting memories she leaves to cherish 3 daughters Kendra (Eddie), Kristara, Olivia and one son which was a very special part of her Olajuwon, all of El Dorado, AR. 3 Grandchildren; Jace, Trinity, and Konnor of her oldest daughter, her mother Rosie, Father Roosevelt Sr.; 1 brother Roosevelt Jr. (Vitina) Oklahoma, City, 3 sisters Jacqueline (Jessie) of Oklahoma, City, Jonell (Stanley) of Farmerville, LA, Gwendolyn of Oklahoma City, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and 2 very special cousins; Juanita Augman (Reginald) and Brandy Brown (Gerald).

Public visitation Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1pm at First St. James Baptist Church under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook online at www.simsmortuary.com
