Wanda Gail Martin, affectionately known as "Honey," was born on September 8, 1959, to Alice Martin and J.W. Williams. Born and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas, she attended El Dorado Public Schools and later earned her GED.
Wanda had a strong relationship with Christ and firmly believed in His promises. She would often say, "Jesus promised He'll take care of me."
Known for her wonderful sense of humor, Honey always knew how to make others laugh. She enjoyed cooking, watching television, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.
God, in His perfect timing, called Honey home to eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; two sisters, Ruthelle Martin and Augustine Williams-Phifer; and three brothers, Gene Godfrey, Paul Stewart, and Calvin Lee.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Penny Martin; three sons, Patrick Martin, Ronald Martin, and James Martin, all of El Dorado, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Roman Hall, Tia Hall, Ci'Anna Martin, Jaylen Martin, Christian Kendrix, NyShun Martin, Shakeiva Harris, Remme Lewis, Rane Lewis, and Makayla Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Capri, Skylar, ILania, Raydon, Chanston, Lillyana, and Ahlani; one brother, LaVelle (Denise) Martin; four sisters, Winfred Tubbs, Robertine Buffing, Sammie (Sampson Sr.) Easter, and Beverly Cain; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Honey will forever be remembered for her faith, loving spirit, laughter, and the precious memories she shared with those who knew and loved her.
