Tristan Lamar McGhee

Where words fail, music speaks. There were no words to describe the joy Tony and Cherisa felt on December 7, 1988. God composed a beautiful tune in El Dorado, Arkansas, at MCSA with the birth of Tristan Lamar McGhee. One good thing about music is that you feel no pain when it hits you. On June 7, 2023, at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida, God played a beautiful tune that took all of Tristan’s pain away. He was called into eternity, and we, the family, know he is at rest with our heavenly father.
Tristan was united in holy matrimony to Brandi George McGhee on June 1, 2019, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Tristan attended El Dorado High School and graduated in 2007. He continued his education at the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff and South Ark Community College. Tristan was employed with Macs Fresh Market, Atwoods, Olameter, and Entergy until his death.
Tristan was a member of Beulah Grove Missionary Baptist Church. As a child, he loved to play drums on anything he could find. His love for music inspired him to serve as a percussionist for many different choirs. He played the sweetest melodies here on earth. He played for the Friendship District youth choir, Frankie Andrews concert choir, New Generation Youth Choir, Psalms of Life, and Chosen.
Tristan has found him a new choir and is now playing in that heavenly choir.
Tristan was preceded in transition by his Grandmother, Sherma Young; his grandfather Walter Young, Great grandparents Sherman and Billie Jean Jones, Great grandmother Marian Picketts, and Great Grandfather, Oliver Picketts, Paternal grandparents Jerry and Hattye McGhee, Great grandparents Donald and Theolia Jenson; and Great grandparents Jacob and Rosie McGhee.
Tristan’s memories will be cherished by his wife, Brandi George McGhee; his children, Tristan Lamar McGhee II, Christian Alexander McGhee, and Alyse Nicole Roberts; his mother, Cherisa D. McGhee, his father, Tony (Marilyn) McGhee; his twin brother Brandon G. McGhee, bonus brothers, Rashad Moore and Jeremy Boone, his ‘Boys” Albeon Boone and Brandon Brown, his mother-in-law Barbara Williams, his father-in-law- Wylie George, and a host of bonus brothers and sisters; aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
