Remembering Thelma Woods
Thelma Jean Woods was born on March 12th, 1941, in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Rufus Woods Sr. and the Late Mrytle Coggins-Woods.
Thelma gave her life to Jesus Christ at a young age while attending Olive Branch Baptist Church. She was very adamant about her work for the Lord and taught her family (Children) and others the value of Prayer, studying the word, and serving among many other things (values). She kept the faith never wavering. She served as the church secretary for many years and was in the choir and mission. She served her church until her health prevented her from doing so.
She graduated from Washington High School, she graduated from "Oil Belt Vocational School with an Accounting Degree, she worked for Sims Mortuary for many years as a Secretary.
She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, she gave unselfishly of herself; not only to her family but to friends. She was caring and helped her neighbors within her neighborhood and community when there was a need and when there wasn't.
