Shirley Ann Thomas,70 went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2019. She was born May 24, 1949, to the late Augsta (AG) Moore, and Johnny Mae Dorch-Moore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her baby brother. She was the firstborn of four children. She had one sister Gloria Moore, and 2 brothers Willie Ray Jackson, and the late Willie Roy Jackson Jr. She also had a foster mother, Marzella Tatum and 2 foster brothers Howard Jackson, and Melvin (Mack) Tatum. One Aunt, Myra Jean Coggins-Hill. Shirley had two daughters Robbie Harper- Hicks (Antonio) of Killeen, Tx, and Patsy Thomas of El Dorado, Ar.
Shirley was devoted to her family and making her home very warm and welcoming to everyone. The love that she gave was unconditional. She was a long-time employee of Precolite for 30 years where she gained many friends. After retirement, she started working for the South Arkansas Development Center for Children and Family.
She worked at the Mahony Home, and she fell in love with each and every one of her clients. Shirley had 3 Grandchildren; Antoine Hicks (Constance) of Chicago Illinois. Ashley Thomas of El Dorado, Ar, and Antonio (AJ) Hicks of Killeen, Tx.
Public visitation will be on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. Until 5:00 p.m. at Sims Mortuary, funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at New Olive Branch Baptist Church, interment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
