Shekinah Nicole Gordon was born on Tuesday, April 29, 1997, in Magnolia, AR, to Karen A. Perry and Damion Patrique Gordon, Sr. Shekinah transitioned from this life on earth on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the age of 28.

Shekinah attended preschool at A Penny For Your Thought daycare, under the leadership of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pitts in Magnolia, AR, and at Noah's Arch daycare in El Dorado, AR, where she showed a promising future rooted in the Word and works of the Lord. She began attending the El Dorado Public School District #15 for most of her educational training. She also studied at Leesburg Middle School in Leesburg, Georgia for a moment. Shekinah is a May 2015 graduate of El Dorado High School in El Dorado, Arkansas. Some of the many social avenues Shekinah participated in were EHS- LCB varsity basketball, robotics, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Student Council, and many other activities that extended to the community of El Dorado, Arkansas. As a member of the Lady Wildcat basketball team, she also had the honor of singing the National Anthem (January 2013) as a sophomore amongst her peers, school faculty, and all other guests present. In her educational journey, she reached post-secondary levels while training among many scholars at the University of Arkansas (Little Rock) and South Arkansas Community College (El Dorado) in the field of Criminal Justice while also studying Psychology. She desired to help enforce the law and also provide assistance to rehabilitate those who found themselves in the criminal justice system.

Shekinah was baptized at an early age at New Bethel Baptist Church (El Dorado) under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Bobby Patterson. She later became a member of New Olive Branch Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas under the leadership of the late Eugene J. Farley, Sr. and his namesake Eugene J. Farley, Jr. While attending New Olive Branch (NOBBC), she actively and passionately participated in sharing the gospel through the music ministry, the educational ministry/ Christian education, Holy Dancers in Harmony, Vacation Bible School, Back to School pep rallies, and many other youth activities. Shekinah was a devoted, loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She most enjoyed singing, listening to various music genres and artists, playing different musical instruments, helping others, and spending time with family and friends.

Shekinah was preceded in death by her great grandfathers Joe B. Perry Jr. and Roosevelt F. James Sr., her great grandmothers Mary M. Perry and Willie Mae Wiggins, her grandmother Cliffortine Perry Hampton, her grandfather Roosevelt Frank James Jr., and a bonus grandfather Dan Weathersby (Pops), one great aunt Dorothy M. Perry, four great uncles Eddie Frank, Willie Ray, Melvin "Uncle Preacher" and Victor Juan Perry, and one paternal aunt Regina James.

She leaves to cherish her fondest and most loving memories to her mother Karen A. Perry of El Dorado, AR., her father Damion (Devaki) P. Gordon, Sr. of Savannah, GA; her two sisters Chastity R. Moore and Dakota K. Gordon; her only brother Damion P. Gordon ll "DJ"; her grandmother Jimmie R. Weathersby and grandfather Alfred P. Gordon both residing in Little Rock, AR; six uncles, Reginald (Cathy) D. Perry of North Little Rock, AR, Russell (Cheryl) Perry of Conway, AR, Charles Lackey of Eudora, AR, Roosevelt F. (Marlene) James, III of Mansfield, TX, Marcus R. (Kenya) Glass, Sr. of Albany, GA, and Cortney E. (Deneshia) Gordon of Little Rock, AR; six aunts, Marsha Gayfield of Little Rock, AR, Sharon James, Wanda Wilburn, Patricia Calvin- Spiller (Eddie) all of Eudora, AR, Sonya D. Perry of Fort Mitchell, AL, Claudia (Percy Anthony) Tillman of West Monroe, LA.; one great- great uncle Frank (Hattie) Matheny of Indianapolis, IN; five great aunts, Betty Harrison of Lake Village, AR, Willie M. Burks of Greenville, MS, Ophelia (Earnest) Williams of Erie, PA and Gwendolyn Perry of McKinney, TX and Verna Perry of Pine Bluff, AR; four great uncles Billy (Jackie) Perry of Lake Village, AR, John (Lorraine) Perry of Highland Village, TX, Rodney (Shelia) Perry of Aurora, CO, and Derrick (Beverly) Perry of Little Rock, AR. Shekinah Nicole Gordon will also be missed by many other relatives, friends, classmates, coworkers, and others (especially the instant friends because she never met a stranger ever in life). She will be missed by all who loved her and saw great potential in her life to come.
