Sharnes “Punkin” McGhee

December 7, 1999 — January 2, 2021

On December 7, 1999, Sharnes (Punkin) McGhee was welcomed into this world by Barry and Fredia McGhee. She departed this life on January 2, 2021, in Conway, Arkansas. Sharnes; was the third and the youngest child of this loving couple.

As a child Sharnes warmed the hearts of all her family as they watched her grow and develop in life. At an early age Sharnes showed much potential to those around her. She accepted Christ in those young years and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Hermitage, Arkansas. She was a continually active youth in the church and continued to be a productive church member throughout her life.

Sharnes loved being with her family and friends. She was the one we could count on when we needed to smile. She filled many hearts with laughter and love. She enjoyed meeting new people. Sharnes loved to hunt and fish.
Sharnes attended school in the Smackover-Norplet School District and graduated with Honors. Not only did she excel in the classroom, but she was also a force in athletics. She played basketball, softball and ran track. She received several awards and recognition throughout her high school career. Sharnes continued her education at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Allie Mae Belin and Nettie F. Neal.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her parents – Barry and Fredia McGhee; Two sisters: Shakela D. Mitchell (Lamond) of Eldorado, Arkansas, and Tesia Morgan of Camden, Arkansas. Three brothers: Jyrell Miller (Jessica) of Conway, Arkansas, Barry D. McGhee Jr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, KydaraMcGhee of Calion, Arkansas, and a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Special friends: Dorsey Williams, Destiny Honeycutt, Raven Jones, and Damarous White.  Very Special Friend: Aerial Wafer
