Shakira Shaidae McHenry

Shakira Shidae McHenry was born to the late Sylvester McHenry and Renee McHenry on September 12, 1990.

She attended school in the El Dorado, Union, and Parkers Chapel School Districts. She graduated from Parkers Chapel High School in 2008.

At an early age, she was baptized at Mt. Sinai Freewill Baptist Church under Rev. Jewel Primm and later moved her membership to Hosanna Baptist Church under Rev. Jerry Ross.

During her life's journey, she worked at Champagnolle Landing for several years, caring for children and individuals with disabilities. She later moved to California, where she stayed for two years, and then relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. While there, she worked for a major food chain, Schnucks Market, where she became a Customer Service Manager for approximately six years. She also worked for Walgreens as a cashier and pharmacy technician until her illness and the birth of her daughter took a toll on her health.

She loved everybody's children as if they were her own. Through all the pain she endured, she always kept a smile on her face.

Doctors said she would not be able to have a baby. But God blessed her with this baby. Her name is A'Blessyn Ky'Miracle Slyviana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester McHenry; her brother, Sylvester McHenry Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Willie Allen and Margie Allen; and her paternal grandparents, Betty Jean Thompson and Joshua Lark (Margaret).

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Renee McHenry; brothers, Jalen McHenry, Darris McHenry, and Antonio Carroll; sister, Latosha Beasley; daughter, A'Blessyn Ky'Miracle Slyviana; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
