Ruthie Lee Hamilton

Ruthie Lee Hamilton was born February 26, 1946, in Homer, La to the late Allen Andrews and Louise Walker. Ruthie departed this life on October 16, 2020, at the Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, AR.

She attended Mayfield High School in Homer, La.

She accepted Christ at an early age, and she attended New Hope Baptist Church in Homer, LA. Ruthie was a faithful member of her church until she became sick and relocated to Camden, AR, to live with her daughter.

Her joyful moments were fellowshipping with her family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, talking to her sister’s, sitting on the porch enjoying the sun, cooking, and going on a joy ride.

She is preceded in death by her father Allen Andrews, mother Louise Andrews, husband Robert Lee Hamilton, son Kenneth Roydell Hamilton, two brothers Sammie L. Andrews, John W. Sumlin, and one sister Johnny May Goodwin.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her only daughter Shelane Owens (Freddrick) Owens of Camden, AR, and five sons, James Hamilton of Homer, LA, Eric Hamilton of Homer LA, Willie Gene Hamilton (Alisha) of Bossier, LA, Michael Hamilton of Homer, LA, David Hamilton of Houston, TX, and her two sisters Alice Willis of Houston, TX, and Essie L. Walker of Houston, TX. A special brother in law Melvin Goodson, 20 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
