Roy E. Mitchell was born on December 15, 1950, in El Dorado, Arkansas to Fannie Lee Thompson and Calvin Mitchell.
Deacon Roy Mitchell departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Cornerstone Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Bertha Mitchell, two biological sons Edward Lamond Mitchell (Shakela Mitchell), Tavorris Mitchell, seven bonus sons Ira (Shanti) Baker of North Little Rock, AR, Willie (Vicky) Baker of North Little Rock, AR, Nicki (Cecilia) Baker of North Little Rock, AR, Nakia (Kim) Baker of El Dorado, AR, Eric (Carolyn) Baker of Magnolia, AR, Jeffery ( Tiffany) Baker of Mayflower, and Jerome Traylor, two bonus daughters Mydeana (Brandon) Bridges of El Dorado, AR, and Jeanie ( Gary) Meeks of El Dorado, AR, thirty-four grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. One sister Earnestine White of Smackover, AR, and three brothers Richard Williams of El Dorado, AR, Jimmy Mitchell of Camden, AR, and Eddie ( Ella) Lyons of El Dorado, AR.
Services Saturday, June 6, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at First Apostolic Church. Interment at Arlington Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook at www.simsmortuary.com.
