Robert "Skeet Champ" Spivey

June 3, 1959 — April 30, 2021

Robert Spivey was born at home on June 3, 1959 as a twin to thelate Earnest Spivey and Marie Taylor Spivey in El Dorado AR. He was called home on Friday April 30th at his resident to be with our heavenly father.

Robert affectionately known as “Skeet Champ” attended Fairview Elementary School and was a graduate of El Dorado High School Class of 1977. He was highly intelligent and was the human calculator of the family. Skeet Champ prided himself on being able to compute math problems in his head that others required a calculator to solve. After graduation, He continued his education at South Arkansas University- El Dorado before beginning a 31-year career at Pilgrim Pride where he was known as “The Best Hangman” in his department until he retired.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age at St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.H. Rowe. He was a El Dorado Wildcat Fanatic. He enjoyed attending the Friday night Football games and was just as eager to watch the wildcats on the Basketball court. Skeet Champ loved to dance and was always the life of the party.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.  Six brothers Earnest Jr, Willie Earl, Clarence, Melvin, Jessie, and Dewayne.  And his twin sister Robbie.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his sisters Joyce Westbrook, Betty (Anthony) Caldwell, Earnestine (Travis) Turner, and Cynthia Ford all El Dorado AR.  Two brothers Dennis Spivey of El Dorado AR and James Douglas of West Helena AR. Three significant aunts Betty Hall of El Dorado AR., Arnell (Charlie) Phillips of Dallas TX., and Juanita (Willie) Martin of St. Louis, MO. One Uncle Samuel Taylor of Summerfield, LA. His God Mother Ms. Celia Richard, best friend Greg Hayes and a host of family and friends.
