Robbie’s Life Journey

Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Robbie a devoted mother, loving grandmother, sister, friend, and faithful servant.

On June 3, 1959, at Warner Brown hospital, a beautiful unexpected baby twin girl was born to the late Earnest Spivey and Marie Taylor Spivey in El Dorado, AR. She was a bundle of joy with her lovely smile. On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, God’s heavenly angels came and picked one of the most beautiful flowers from his garden.

At an early age, everyone knew that Robbie was something special. She was highly intelligent and she loved helping others from early on in her life. She attended Fairview Elementary School and was a graduate of El Dorado High School Class of 1977. She continued her education by attending South Arkansas University- El Dorado and Oil Belt Vocational School where she studied business. She realized very quickly that she had a strong love for people and losing her parents at a young age, she wanted to always make sure that families where protected in traumatic circumstances, so she joined Forsters University in San Diego, California, where she received her certificate in insurance. Robbie was an outstanding insurance agent for over 35 years. She had a passion for it. She truly loved her clients and they loved her. She will always be remembered as the insurance lady.

Robbie accepted Christ at a very young age at St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.H. Rowe. As an adult, she found her way, and on April 4, 1979, she became the first member of Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. D.L. Hegler where she severed for over 22 years. In December of 2001, the Lord directed her in another direction and she became a member of the New Eastside Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Levell Faison until his death. Robbie was a faithful and dedicated member. She held many positions in the church and was devoted to anything she was called on to do. Although she served in many capacities, Robbie only wanted to be known as a true servant of God that only tried to help someone along the way. She was genuinely a pure soul, and everything she did was loving and real.

Robbie is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and 6 brothers. Earnest Jr., Willie Earl, Clarence, Melvin, Jessie, and Dewayne.

Robbie was married to Michael Charles and during this union two beautiful daughters were born, Whitney and Venus.
