Rivers Miller

July 20, 1938 — February 28, 2022

Rivers Moore Miller was Born on July 20, 1938, in Urbana, Arkansas. At an early age, she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Urbana, Arkansas. She later joined St. James Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was a faithful member of the Mission Department and on the Usher Board. Later, she joined Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist. She also served in the Mission Department. She sang in the Golden Steppers Choir, in the Golden Steppers Ministry, and was a faithful worker in the Women Sunday School Class.

Rivers Moore Miller started working at a very early age. She was a dedicated and loyal employee at Con Agra for 34 years, retiring in 2001. After retiring from Con Agra she volunteered her time at the St. James Food and Clothing Ministry and spent some of her free moments at Champagnolle Landing Senior Wellness Center. Rivers also worked at Retta Brown Elementary School in the cafeteria and Turning Point of South Arkansas Clothing Ministry for another 3 years. Rivers finally retired from working and spent her time enjoying her family. She loved to cook for her family, friends, and everyone that came to visit, especially during holidays. Rivers had several hobbies that included sports, she loved watching football and basketball. Rivers loved fishing, one of her favorite pass times.

Felton and Rivers Miller united in holy matrimony on Jan 1, 1961, and remained together for 61 years until she was called into eternity on February 28, 2022.

Preceding Rivers in death are her parents, Rev. John Acie Moore and Rose Anna Henry Moore, four sisters, Birdell Traylor, Florella Moore, Almeta Blake, Rosella Burns, four brothers, James C. Moore, Joe Moore, Johnny Moore, and J. W. (Porter) Moore, and two daughters, Regina Miller and Renae Miller.

Rivers leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Felton Miller, two sisters, Ida Mae White of El Dorado, Arkansas and Rosie Mack of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, four brothers, Charles Moore, Richard Moore, both of El Dorado, Arkansas, Willie L. (Dorothy) Moore and Jessie (Loretha) Moore both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, three daughters, Carolyn (James) Atkins, Gailyn (Rev. Dwight) Dismuke, and Angela (Rev. John) Elliott of El Dorado, Arkansas, two sons, Anthony Miller, and Victor (LaQuita) Miller, of El Dorado, Arkansas, three sons, Felton Miller Jr., Rickey Miller, and Timothy Miller of Los Angeles, California. A special grandson Patrick Lovett. Twenty-five Grandkids, Thirty-eight Great Grand Kids, Five Great Great Grand Kids along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her contagious smile and glowing personality.
