Rhonda Alicia Rester: A Life of Love and Laughter
Rhonda Alicia Rester, a beloved member of the El Dorado community, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 63. Known throughout El Dorado for her beautiful personality, infectious smile, and deep love of life, Rhonda's presence brightened the lives of all who knew her.
A Life of Warmth and Devotion
Rhonda was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on January 15, 1962, during a time when the town was small and still growing. She spent her early years between Cerritos, California, and Los Angeles, California, living with her devoted mother, Ollie Faye Hall, and her stepfather, Thornton Hall.
After graduating from high school in Cerritos, Rhonda dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally as a hard-working caregiver and personally as a loving and devoted mother. Rhonda's greatest joy was her children: her late daughter, Cassidy Rester, whom she lost at an early age and is now reunited with in heaven; and her son, Samuel Rester, who sat lovingly by her side, guiding her through her final moments and into the waiting arms of his sister.
Rhonda truly lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed her daily walks for health, often with the wonderful company of her great friend, Mr. Massey. Fishing-rain or shine, day or night-was a favorite pastime, especially when she could share a laugh or break the quiet with Samuel. Any time spent with her children and grandchildren was treasured, marked by laughter, playing games, sneaking snacks, and staying up late. Rhonda was a woman who knew how to find the fun in life. When surrounded by her family, she could be found at bingo halls or the occasional casino, where, even when she was losing, her genuine smile and laughter made everyone around her feel like they were winning.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassidy Rester.
She is survived by her loving son, Samuel Rester; her father, Samuel David Rester; and her mother, Ollie Faye Hall.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who recognized, remembered, and touched Rhonda's life. She will truly be missed for the amazing woman she was and always will be, watching over her loved ones from heaven, just as she did in their presence.
