Rev. L.B. Terry

Rev. L.B. Terry was born October 16, 1947 in Lillie, Louisiana to the union of Willie Terry and Irean Jackson-Terry.

Rev. Terry accepted Christ at an early age.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Lisbon where he served as an associate minister until his death.

Rev. Terry was the former pastor of Forest Grove Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas; Sweet Canaan Baptist Church in Smackover, Arkansas; Beech Hill Baptist Church in Mount Holly, Arkansas; Jerusalem Quinn Baptist Church in Calion, Arkansas.

Rev. Terry graduated in 1968 from Westside High School in Lillie, Louisiana.  He also attended Oil Belt Vocational School and was a student of the Seminary College.  He served in the Vietnam war from 1969-1970.

Rev. Terry passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eric Terry; three brothers, Willie Jr., Jeffery and Billy.  One Sister, Mary Ruth.

He leaves to mourn his high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years Mrs. Decenda Terry of El Dorado, Arkansas.  Three sons; Carlos Jones (Kimberly) of Ruston, Louisiana; Unterrio Terry (Angela) of Centerton, Arkansas; Tyree Terry (Kali) of Kansas City, Missouri.  Three sisters; Emma Johnson (Billy) of Junction City, Louisiana; Katherine Tate of Junction City, Louisiana; Chanzetta Thompson (Dwight) of Carrolton, Texas.  19 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 2:00-5:00pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Morning Star #2 Baptist Church.
