Ray Gilbert Swift

September 11, 1954 — April 2, 2022

 Ray G. Swift was born on September 11, 1954. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. El Roy Swift. He lived and grew up in El Dorado, AR, where he accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age.

Ray was educated in the El Dorado Public School District and received his diploma from El Dorado High School in 1972. After graduating high school, Ray attended Vocational-Technical School of Texarkana for Computer Science.

Ray was employed by High Capacity-Milbank in El Dorado and subsequently retired after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted son, a dedicated father, and a great friend.

During his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and cooking and was an inquisitive reader of a myriad of books. He genuinely created a lifetime of memorable moments utilizing music as his love language during fellowship with his family and all friends.

Ray G. Swift departed this life on April 2, 2022, at his childhood home here in El Dorado, Arkansas.

His father, El Roy (Chief) Swift, and his sister, Janis Swift, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Marcus Swift of Seattle, Washington; Nicholas Swift of El Dorado, Arkansas; his daughters, Calebra Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas; Christina Thompson (Torrence) of Dallas, Texas; Latoya Swift-Williams (Eric) of El Dorado Arkansas; Jasmine Swift of Little Rock Arkansas. His Mother Catherine Swift of El Dorado, AR, his sister, Verna Porter of Compton, California; His brothers, Ricky Swift (Gail) of Shreveport, Louisiana; Roy Swift of Compton, California; Phillip Swift (Shelia) of Shreveport, Louisiana; Charles Ross of El Dorado, Arkansas.

Six grandchildren, Jakaya; Adrianna, Ashanti, De’Antre, Tormesia, Joeshun; 5 great-grandchildren, Makenzley; Ja’Oir, Juliee, Dailen, Maliah, a host of nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends that will truly miss him
