Patricia Louise Henderson

Patricia Louise Henderson was born on February 23, 1955, in Memphis, Tn. to the late Isaac and Doris Louise Henderson Sr. She departed this life on September 8, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Patricia, lovingly known as Pat touched lives with her gift of music. She started taking piano lessons in her neighborhood at the age of six. The music then became her passion. Patricia graduated from piano to also study classical organ, even before her feet could reach the bass pedals. She became a paid church musician by the age of 12, which launched her singing career.

While attending Northside High School in Memphis but while there, Pat auditioned for a city-wide talent search sponsored by the host of a popular mid-south show called “Swing Shift”. She was chosen to appear weekly on the show as part of the band, “New Trend. For the next 5 years, she was a studio musician and traveled as part of the opening acts for such greats as Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Johnnie Taylor, The Bar-Kays, and Candi Staton. Pat also served as minister of music for many churches in Memphis, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory: Two brothers Isaac (Elnora) Henderson, Red Banks, Ms., Gregory Henderson, Memphis, TN, one sister Norma Henderson-Smith, Memphis, Tn., two aunts (special aunt) Sallie Marguerite Haley Pratt and Anna Laura Clark both of Los Angeles, Ca., Two uncles, Samuel Haley, Memphis Tn., Robert (Virginia) Haley of Carson Ca., one niece, three nephews, seven great-nieces and nephews and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
