Oliver Rhodes Jr. “Joe” son of the late Oliver Rhodes Sr. & Marie Cannon was born in Three Creeks Arkansas on February 28, 1937. He departed this life on Saturday March 23, 2019 at Medical Center of South Arkansas, El Dorado, AR.

In 1963, Oliver Rhodes Jr. married Patsy Meeks (Rhodes) of 46 years.

Joe was employed by Cooper Standard Automotive in El Dorado, Arkansas and subsequently retired after 35 years of dedicated service. During his free time, he loved fishing, hunting, working on washers & dryers & spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents Oliver Rhodes Sr. & Marie Cannon & three sisters: Irene Malone, Helen Stewart & Linda White.

His loving & fond memories will be cherished by a special lady of his life Robbie Clark of El Dorado, AR., and three children: Tony Rhodes (Tracey) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Pamela Agbe-Davis (Steve) of New York, New York, Teresa Rhodes of El Dorado, Arkansas, One sister Hazel Easter of Detroit, Michigan, eight grandchildren, Antonio (Janita) Rhodes of Jackson, Tennessee, Marquisha Rhodes of El Dorado, Arkansas, Demetrius (Holli) Rhodes, Christopher (Charlene) Rhodes, Derrick (Britana) McKnight, Jamie Modica JR., all of Little Rock Arkansas, Stephanie Agbe-Davis, Madison Agbe-Davis both of New York, New York. Eleven great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, & friends that will truly miss him.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Sims Mortuary. Family Hour Friday, April 5, 2019 7-8 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at El Bethel Three Creeks. Interment will be at El Bethel Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
