Ola Jones

September 11, 1959 — December 26, 2022

A Time to be Born: Ola Marie Traylor, along with her twin brother Melvin, was born September 11, 1959, to C.J. Traylor and Ola B. McHenry.

A Time to Change: At a very early age, with her best friend Sherry Parker by her side, Ola accepted Christ at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her mother made sure she knew the Lord and Ola would visit Old Path COGIC, where her aunt Rubie and Uncle Joseph invited her to attend. In the summer of 1980, Ola made a life-changing decision, and along with her 5-year-old daughter, moved to Ohio with Joe B. Jones, Sr., who would shortly become her husband in December of the same year. To this Union, two children were born: Costella (Maria) Jones and Joe B. Jones, Jr.

A Time to Work and Serve: Ola attended school in Urbana, Arkansas. She worked at Iten Industries and later MFG, Inc, where she would remain until her health began to decline. She made the transition back home to Arkansas with her daughter Felicia to monitor her health.

A Time to Laugh: Ola loved coming to care for her granddaughters during the summer, taking them walking and telling stories of her youth. Ola felt like "The Hill" was home and being there gave her a sense of security and comfort. Rock Ola's was the place to be when Ola came home from Ohio. Ola, her sisters BayBay, Tocan, and Sherry, would stay up all night listening to music and having a good time.

A Time for Goodbye: Our creator called home his beloved daughter home on December 26, 2022, at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. She fought a long time and lived life way past the year's man had predicted. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.J. Traylor and Ola B. McHenry. Grandparents Coldin and Lucy McHenry and one grandson, J. Prince King. Twin brothers Melvin Traylor, James Traylor, and Randy Traylor. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 42 years Joe B. Jones Sr. Daughters Felicia (Calvin) Barnes, Costella (Maria) Jones, and son Joe B. Jones, Jr, all of Urbana, Arkansas. Four granddaughters, Calicia Barnes, Camryn Barnes, Janaya Jones, Jenesis Jones, and bonus granddaughter Kaliyah Morris. One Grandson Joe B. Jones III. Sisters Dale Ressa Drumgold and Thressa Malone of Urbana, Arkansas. Brothers Barry Wayne Traylor of Urbana, Arkansas. Beryl Traylor of Dallas, Texas. C.J. Traylor of Oakland, California. Ronald Martin of El Dorado, Arkansas
