O.B. Green

Bro. O.B. Green was born May 25, 1942, in Strong, AR, to the late Junious Green and Pinkie Williams Green. He was the third child of eleven children, six of whom preceded him in death: Jewel Green, Vera Ann Green, Carolyn Ann Green, Gerline Celestine, Dessie Warren, & Jacob Green.

He confessed to Christ at an early age, uniting with Pleasant Hill AME Church until his death.

O.B. married his first wife, the late Dorothy Green, on July 12, 1963. Six children were born into this union. Four were preceded in death: three daughters, Rashundra Green, Sanchon Green, and Sherrick Gibson, and one son, Sharrick Green.

He later married the late Ruth Green on June 4, 2005.

O.B. was employed with Dugal Logging until he moved to Kansas to work as a licensed plumber for Reese Plumbing. Returning to Arkansas, he started working with his father, doing contract work for years. After that, he owned his own Pulpwood business. Then later became an employee for Smith and Scott Logging. Lastly, working with Wainwright Logging until he became disabled. He was known to be the best tree cutter and jack of all trades.

He leaves to cherish memories his one daughter Sheryln Lovette of Eldorado, AR, one son Sha'Maski Green (Jaszmyn) of Ellenwood, GA, two stepdaughters Amelia Frazier Reed (Phillip) of Strong, AR, Bernice Frazier of Hampton, AR, one stepson Ellis Frazier of Oklahoma, one brother Lutha Ray Green (Faye) of Strong, AR, three sisters MaeRetha Flakes (Jimmy) of Houston, TX, Eilene Levingston of Strong, AR, Gutharee Lethridge of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
