Norvell Ford- Lewis

A Time to be Born: Winter was the season: On December 21, 1936, Norvell Ford Lewis was born to Robert Ford and Shirley Evan Goodwin.

A Time to Change: She united with Saint Mark Baptist Church early in life.

A Time to work: She attended school in El Dorado and worked several housekeeping jobs in Camden, Arkansas, after which time she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. She then worked at the Arkansas State Mental Hospital for many years, where she became supervisor over the Housekeeping Dept.

A Time to Serve: She loved helping others and cooking for them

A Time to Laugh: She devoted her heart and soul to caring for her family and friends. She was truly a blessing to all who knew her.

A Time for Goodbye: On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, our creator called our precious mother home to be with him for the rest of Eternity.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hozie Lewis; Mother, Shirley Goodwin; Daughter, Christine Lewis Key; and Son, James Earl Lewis.

She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Lewis Byrd of Little Rock, AR; Granddaughter, Dedria Lewis of Little Rock, AR; two Grandsons, Dederick Lewis of El Dorado, AR, and Bobby Joe Beavers of Camden, AR; Granddaughter, Doris Key of Camden, AR, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
