Mose White Jr.

Mose was born on September 8, 1941, to the parents Lillie & Mose White Sr. He was the 5th child born out of 6 children. He graduated High School at Washington in 1962. Upon graduating from school, he attended Barber College and was the proud owner of "Magic Mirror Barber Shop" for 61 years. Mose is not only a barber but a licensed carpenter, welder, plumber, and Master electrician, a charter member of the National Exchange Club, and a member of the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors. Mose put the real meaning in the saying "Jack of all trades." Mose was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He is a pillar in our community! 

A list of his accolades: Owner of Magic Mirror Barber/Beauty Shop, Prior Owner of Lott Burgy Cemetery for over 20 years, in 2010 he was given A key to the city, and 9/8/2010 was stated to be Mose White Jr. Day, in 2010 he was given Black History Person of the year award, In 2023 he was given "Meet me at the court" oldest father of the year award, in 2023 he was awarded "Appreciation for extraordinary service and dedication as owner and operator of magic mirror Barbershop for more than 60 years. He is known as A Legend and A Boss!!

Mose met the love of his life, Carolyn F. They married on December 17, 1963, and remained married for 60 years. To this union, two children were born: Patrick and Forshunda White.

Mose is preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Mose white sr.; Son, Patrick White; daughter, Forshunda White-Willingham; sisters, Lillie Brodie, Mary Holmes, Mae Francis Price; brothers, Jamie White, Bobbie White Sr.; grandson, Samuel Jordan Walls.

Mose leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Carolyn F. White, Son Jamil (Allyson) Snowden of Kansas City, Daughter Felecia (Jonathan) Walls of Kansas City; grandkids, Jamil & Jasmine Snowden, Paris & Hannah Walls, and Gregory Golden, Sister In Laws, Sharon Martin & Dorothy White of El Dorado, Verna Wilson of Fort Worth, TX, Special niece/Caregiver Jeannie Furlow (James), special great-niece, Cecila "Gabby" Singletary, brother in law, Fred Martin of Little Rock, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
