May Lee Frazier McKinney, better known as Mary King and Mae Brown, was born on February 2, 1949, and passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.
She was born to James and Willie B. Frazier in New Edinburg, Arkansas, and was raised in Warren, Arkansas, where she attended school. She later moved to El Dorado, Arkansas, where she built lifelong connections within her community. Raised in a Christian home, Mae professed her faith in Christ at an early age. She was known for her kind spirit, quiet strength, love of cooking, and deep devotion to her family. She would give her last to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Willie B. Lowe Frazier; her maternal grandparents, Bessie Davis and Calvin Lowe; her paternal grandparents, Mead Frazier and Rosie Cranford Frazier; her son, James Joshua King; her daughter, Andrea Brown; her siblings, Rev. Frank Frazier, Rev. Dean Frazier, Sr., James "Boot" Frazier Jr., Calvin Frazier, Georgia Mae Frazier, Wonda Jean Frazier, and Mary Frazier Bardwell; and her nieces, Tawana Bardwell, Anita Frazier, and Arnetta Frazier.
Mae leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Otha McKinney; five children, Michele Frazier, Anthony (LaShonda) Foreman, Angela (Derrick) Martin, Victoria Ford (Donundra), and Eric McKinney; six special children, Greg Williams, Lillie Kennedy, Denisha Brown, Linda Brown, Zidon Brown Jr., and Kevin "KC" Candley; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives, close friends, and many honorary grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mae will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the love she shared with family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
