Mary Ann Caver, affectionately known as "Ray Ran," was born on July 28, 1952, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Robert Lee Canady and Mary O'Dear Tatum. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a woman whose life touched countless hearts.
Mary Ann's life was a testimony of strength, transformation, faith, and perseverance. Throughout her life, she faced struggles and difficult circumstances, but she refused to allow her past to define her future. In 1998, she turned her life over to Christ, beginning a journey of profound change and spiritual growth. In 2005, she fully rededicated her life to Christ and devoted herself to serving God and others.
Mary Ann became an ordained Deacon at Breakthrough Christian Outreach Ministries, where she faithfully served and shared her love for Christ. Because she understood the struggles that so many people faced, she became a substance-abuse counselor. Her heart's desire was to help others avoid the hardships she had experienced and to show them that change, healing, and a better life were possible.
Mary Ann was also passionate about education and personal growth. She earned her bachelor's degree and was only seven credit hours away from completing her master's degree in psychology. Her accomplishments reflected her determination, resilience, and belief that it was never too late to pursue a dream.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary O'Dear Tatum; her husband, Booker T. Caver; her siblings, August Flowers, Johnny Flowers, Ricky Flowers, and Crystal Williams; and other loved ones who remained forever in her heart.
Mary Ann leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her sons, Fred Colvin of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Dominic Canady (Laveckia) of Spokane, Washington; her daughters, Kenjai Caver of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Crystal Penister (Brady) of El Dorado, Arkansas; and her loving bonus daughter, Tyronda Fullwood.
She also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren: Brittany Colvin, Kreshavia Eutsey (Alex), Kania Miller, KeOasha Miller, Kamari Caver, Josh Canady, Jeremiah Canady, Zhanecia Davis, Samaya Golden, and Rickey Miller; eleven precious great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Mary Ann will forever be remembered for her compassion, her testimony, her unwavering faith, and the love she so freely shared with others.
