Ms. Mae Ester Foster, age 74, departed this life peacefully at her home on January 27, 2026. She was born on October 29, 1951, in Bernice, Louisiana, to the late Eddie James Foster and Idonia Marie Jones.
After a brief relocation to Portland, Oregon, Mae Ester settled in El Dorado, Arkansas, where she attended Booker T. Washington High School. She was later united in holy matrimony to Bennie Williams, Sr., and from this union they were blessed with one daughter, Jannie Marie Williams-Turner.
At an early age, Mae Ester accepted Christ and united with Union Mission Baptist Church. She later became a devoted and faithful member of St. James Baptist Church, where she served diligently until her health declined. Her service included the Pastor's Cabinet, Missionary Department, Kitchen Committee, and the Mass Choir, where she joyfully lifted her voice in praise.
Mae Ester touched many lives through her work and service. She was formerly employed by Ensco and also held several positions in environmental services. She was widely known for her exceptional cooking, as well as her love for singing, dancing, and praising God.
A loving and devoted family matriarch, Mae Ester gave selflessly of herself, always caring for others. She never met a stranger-everyone she encountered was embraced as family, greeted with love and warm hugs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie James Foster and Idonia Marie Jones; four brothers, James Curley Daniels, Albert Grant, Sr., Bobby Daniels, and Charles Foster; and two sisters, Jannie Mae Jones and Leslie Marie Clay.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved daughter, Jannie Marie Turner of El Dorado, Arkansas; two sisters, Celestine Daniels of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Gertha Browning of Camden, Arkansas; and three brothers, Fredrick Daniels of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Joe Willie Grant and Willie Joe Grant, both of Portland, Oregon.
Her loving legacy also continues through her three grandchildren: Samuel Hall of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Eldreimma Williams of El Dorado, Arkansas; and Dekwame Turner (Misty) of Anna, Texas; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and special friends.
