Linda Neal

Linda Neal, born on April 28, 1949, in Huttig, Arkansas, to the late Jacob Davis and Rushie Woodfolk, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 24 years, Robert D. Neal, and her son, Kenneth "Ken" Davis; her sisters, Frances Shutes, Betty Delois Brown, and Joann Williams; and her brother, Eddie "Dean" Davis.

A dedicated member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church, Linda was a faithful servant who loved God deeply. Her unwavering faith was evident in her devotion to the church choir and her involvement with the Friendship District Women's Auxiliary.

Linda, a proud graduate of Huttig High School, embarked on a 30-year journey at Conagra in El Dorado. Her unwavering dedication and work ethic led her to retire in 1997, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Beyond her professional life, Linda was known for her zest for life, her love for her family and friends, and her selfless acts of kindness.

Linda's legacy lives on through her children, Tamie Grayes of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Terry Davis (Kim) of Douglasville, Georgia; her bonus daughter, Donna Parker (Roy) of El Dorado, Arkansas; and her extended family members, Demetrius Smith, Teresa Hymes (Chris), and Zandra Ford (Greg), all of El Dorado.

She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kendra (Henry) Eiland, Erica Davis, Symone Cantey (Jerome) Gerren, Taylor Grayes, and Tyler Grayes, along with four bonus grandchildren, Francheska Parker, Tyreece Washington (Jenita), Destanee, and Caden Hymes. Her great-grandchildren—David Wimberly, Draelan Dawson, Khingston Love, Tyson Grayes, Jace Gerren, and bonus great-granddaughter Tatiana Washington—will remember her fondly.

Linda is survived by her sisters Mary Morning (Earnest) of Detroit, Michigan, and Grace Davis of Oakland, California; two brothers Fred Lee Davis (Irene) of San Francisco, CA, and James Allen Davis of Huttig, Arkansas; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to hold her memory dear.

Her warmth, compassion, and dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
