Kyra LaShan Dismuke

Kyra LaShan Dismuke transitioned from Earth to Heaven on June 14, 2021, at the age of 49 in El Dorado, AR.

Kyra was born on February 29, 1972, in Chicago, IL, to Paula Poole and Coolidge Johnson, Jr.  She attended El Bethel Baptist Church and accepted Christ at a young age. Later she joined St. John Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR, where she was a faithful and active member.

Kyra graduated from Simeon High School in Chicago, IL. She attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA, and transferred to South Ark Community College to further her education.

Kyra was a jack-of-all-trades and very into self-improvement. She was an excellent cook, extremely creative, and skilled at arts and crafts.  Kyra was also an entrepreneur who started her own photography business.

Not only did she enjoy her hobbies, but she also spent ample time in the community.    She was a part of numerous committees and enjoyed every bit of it.

Kyra was preceded in death by her mom Paula Poole, Papa Coolidge Johnson, Sr, and Grandma Eliza Johnson.

Kyra loved her family so much.  She is survived by her husband, James Dismuke (Mister) ; daughters Janise Dismuke, Kamryn Harris, Kaylie Williams, and Kymora Dismuke;  son Ladariun Gatson;  parents Coolidge and Glenda J. Johnson and Mary Dismuke (mother-in-law);  grandmother Irma Jean Smith;  sisters Tasha Terrett, Renee Willis (Kevin), and Angela Bradford (sister-in-law); brothers Winston Johnson and Tyler Johnson, Roylee Dismuke (Kim)-(brother-in-law); nieces and nephews- Frosty, Taysia, Cookie, Gavin, and Christopher “CJ”; special friend Christina Bryant and the community of El Dorado.
