Johnny "Faye" King, 64, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, embarked on her celestial journey on February 5, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born to the world on a sunny day, July 18, 1959, in El Dorado, Faye was the heartbeat of her home, infusing life and care into every corner. She was a treasure to her family, a doting mother, grandmother, and sister whose laughter and love were the glue of many cherished memories. Faye's zest for life shone through her love for Prince's funky tunes and the sweet fizz of Dr. Pepper. Her jewelry collection and wigs were as colorful and diverse as her personality-each piece a story, a memory, a burst of joy.
Faye reunites with her beloved husband, Booker T. King; her parents and brothers, Roger Broadnax, Douglass Broadnax, Randolph Broadnax, and Dewight Broadnax; sisters, Vanessa Broadnax, Angela Broadnax, who have passed before her.
Her legacy lives on through her son Alexander Miller and his wife Shetai of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, her nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a constellation of siblings: Edward Robinson, John Powell, Rodney Powell, Glenda Broadnax, Monica Henry, Jacqueline Powell, and LaVaughn Murphy. Faye's life was a vivid tapestry of love, laughter, and kindness. Her spirit, as bright and enduring as her favorite jewels, will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
