Johnnie Lee "Butchie Boy Benton was born June 26, 1951. He worked at UAMS Hospital for years. He graduated from Gardner High School. He attended his last days at that church in Sherwood, AR.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Benton and Fannie May Kendrix, a special Aunt Velma Kendrix who raised him. Five brothers; John L. Benton, Willie Benton, Charles Ray Benton, and Herman Benton, one adopted brother; Ivory Purifoy; and one special uncle who helped raise him, Ollie Benton.
He leaves to cherish his memories; two daughters, Quinta Amare and Yolanda (Quincy) Hill; two grandsons, Lorenzo Dixon and JeDarius Dixon; two granddaughters, Justionna Young and Madison Bankston, one great-granddaughter Kennedi Dixon; five sisters, Diane (Douglas) Stewart, Calion (John) Caldwell, Linda Benton, Jimmy Ann Benton, and Dorothy Benton. Three brothers, Martin Benton, James Traylor, and Ernest Chambliss. A host of aunts, family, and friends.
