Jocelyn Burgie, 44, of Eldorado, Arkansas, embarked on her celestial journey on February 28, 2024. She was born to Linda and Emmett Burgie in El Dorado on July 21, 1979. Since then, she has been on her spiritual journey to accept the Lord as her savior at a young age at Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. After devoting her life to God, she completed her education at El Dorado High School while also gaining college experience at Southern Arkansas University.
Jocelyn was a joyful spirit who always had a smile wherever she went. She was a hardworking individual who would always put others first before herself. When she was not working, Jocelyn showed her love in other ways, like cooking. When it came to her cooking skills, everyone loved it. But when she was not working or cooking, Jocelyn still had time to fill the lives of people around her. Jocelyn was the light in everyone's life when she was a phone call away or even helping you with a favor. She would guide them, advise them, and provide fun, lovable memories that everyone can look back on.
Her legacy continues in her daughter, Jamesia Sapp; her sister, Lachandra Burgie, and her two brothers, Emmett Burgie Jr. and Rabie Marrable, all from El Dorado, Arkansas; and a host of nephews, cousins, and extended family. Jocelyn had a bright spirit that attracted others around her; therefore, she will be missed dearly by many. Despite her passing, her name will forever reign and be remembered by all.
