Jeweldine Miller

May 5, 1948 — April 1, 2023

Mother Jeweldine Miller was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on May 5, 1948, to the late CB and Annie Mae Clemons Miller. She professed Christ at an early age and was saved under the ministry of the late Elder Louis C. Cook. She later united with the Wesson Street Church Of God In Christ under the guidance of Superintendent Lennie Clemons, Sr. There; she served faithfully as the Church Organist and Music Department President; as well as worked in the Jurisdictional and National Church of God In Christ Music Departments for more than 25 years until her health rendered her unable to perform effectively. She attended Washington High School. She worked as a public health professional for many years until health complications resulted in her retirement.

The blessed and beautiful life of Mother Jeweldine Miller ended when God requested her presence in heaven Saturday, April 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, C.B. Miller; her mother, Annie Mae Miller; her brother, Mack Calvin Darby; her sister, Emma Jean Carroll; her niece, Annie L. McDonald; and Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory: Her children, John Porchia (Deloris), Sylvia Porchia, and Gwendolyn Miller. One sister, Annie Marie Welch of El Dorado, Arkansas. One Uncle, Superintendent Lennie Clemons, Sr., of El Dorado, Arkansas. One Aunt, Mary Lee Ford, of San Fernando, California. One great uncle, Mr. James Darling, of Los Angeles, California. Four grandchildren, Jonathon Modica (Kisha), Willis Porchia, Julanna Castillo, and Jadore Castillo. Two great-grandchildren, Ja'Shun and Berkley. One godson, Terrence Crowder (Charity). One god-daughter Arqua Henry. Two god-grandchildren, Cohen and Caitlyn. A very special grand-nephew, Kenneth Smith, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. We salute her today by giving honor where honor is due as we lay her to rest in peace.
