Jethro Ford Jr.

July 5, 1948 — May 16, 2019

Jethro Ford, Jr. passed away on May 16, 2019 at the Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado. AR. 

He is proceeded in death by his Parents Leon and Elsie Robinson, and his son, Desmond Ford.

He is survived by his wife, Delinda King-Ford; brothers, Rev. James Ford, Desoto, TX, Earnest Ford, Maumelle, AR; Sister, Marcia (Vince) Eure, Alexandria, VA.; and a special Niece, Victoria Ford, Maumelle, AR ., Other survivors include: two granddaughters, three great grandchildren, three aunts, and other relatives.

Jethro was born in Lisbon, LA on July 5, 1948. Upon graduating from Washington High School, El Dorado in 1966, Jethro began working for Zales Jewelers (Eldo). Jethro along with Tommy Kendricks were two of the first minority jewelry salesman at Zales in the Southern United States. Later, Jethro became a Supervisor at ConAgra Poultry (Eldo) before moving to Little Rock, AR to work at UAMS Embassy Suites Hotel and Parkway Village.

A Memorial will be held in his honor on the day that would have been his birthday. The Memorial will be held on July 5, 2019 in the meeting room at the Family Reunion Hotel, Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Ruston, LA from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This will be both casual and informal.  The program will consist of your memories of Jethro. Jethro who was an Army Veteran will be interred at Lott Burgy Cemetery in El Dorado, AR
