Jesse Brown Thompson was born on June 19, 1953, in the state of Florida to Ms. Carol Brown. At a young age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and became a devoted believer. Jesse worshiped in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) denomination and lived a beautiful life filled with joy. He grew into a handsome young man with a kind and caring spirit.
At the age of seventeen, Jesse joined the United States Marine Corps. During his military service, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, dedication, and honor. He rose through the ranks and served courageously during the Vietnam War.
Jesse was truly a good person. He was kind to his neighbors and friends and did everything he could to maintain his home and support his community.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Johnson.
Jesse leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Van Page Thompson; his mother, Carol Washington; two daughters, Jennifer Thompson and Jessica Morison; three grandsons; two sisters, Omega Gallman and Helen (Bruce) Horner; two brothers, Benjamin Brown and Alvin Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
