Jesse George Jr.

Jesse Earl George Jr., age 67, of Eldorado, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life on May 9, 2025. Born on June 2, 1957, to the late Jesse Sr. and Eddie B. Frazier-Harris, Jesse was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend.

Jesse attended El Dorado School District until the 8th grade, after which he made the decision to explore life with family in Erie, Pennsylvania. There, he completed his secondary education at Twin Tech High School. A devoted Christian, Jesse dedicated his life to Christ at an early age through the fellowship of Free Union Church, and he spent his later years as a faithful member of New Olive Branch Baptist Church.

He was an avid outdoors man who loved hunting and fishing, earning the nickname "The Black Bill Dance" among friends for his skills in fishing. Jesse was a winner of several fishing tournaments over the years and had a sponsorship with Walmart during a few of those years. He also enjoyed supporting sports-basketball, football, golf, and baseball-as a player, coach, and dedicated fan.

Jesse was no stranger to hard work. He began working at the age of eight as a dough cutter at Spud Nut Shop in Eldorado. During his time in Erie, he mastered the trade of Maytag repair technician. Later, he returned to El Dorado, where he worked at Ensco (currently Clean Harbor) for 20 years before retiring. After retirement, he served as an in-home caretaker for families in the El Dorado area.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse George Sr. and Eddie B. Frazier-Harris; adoptive parents, John and Ardie Kayner; three sisters-Brenda George, Shirley George-White, Sandi Kayner-Kitchen; three brothers-Clifton George, David Harris, and Kenneth Harris; his child, Baby George; and his grandchild, Angel George. He was also preceded in death by his favorite uncles-JD George, AD George, Willie C. Frazier, and Willie B. Frazier.

He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him dearly: his wife of 37 years, Robertine K. George; Three sons-Philip Harris of Erie, PA; Ferlando Jackson of Stockton, CA; Jesse George III of El Dorado, AR; Honorary son-Jamarious (Jahnequa) Clay of El Dorado, AR; two daughters-Latoya Young of Erie, PA; and Joslynn George of El Dorado, AR; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jesse is also survived by four sisters-Betty (Howard) Smith, Rose (Larry) Holmes, Stephanie Hall, and Sharon (Charles) Holmes, all of El Dorado, AR; three brothers-Jimmy George, Hester (Rosalind) Harris of El Dorado, AR, and Steve (Amy) Kayner of Erie, PA-as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
