Jeffrey Gulley

It is with both sadness and a heart full of cherished memories that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Lamons Gulley, who entered eternal rest on December 6, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on October 13, 1979, to Pamela Young-Gulley and Robert "Tang" Gulley, Jeffrey was affectionately known to family and childhood friends as "Big J".

From an early age, Jeffrey embraced his faith, becoming a cherished member of Triumph The Church and Kingdom of God in Christ, where he found guidance under Bishop Sam Scott. His spiritual journey continued at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Pierce Moore and Rev. Eddie Yarbrough, where he was a beloved member of the Youth Choir and Male Choir, sharing his gift of song under the direction of Sis. Carolyn Yarbrough.

Jeffrey's commitment to education led him to El Dorado High School, from which he graduated, and then to South Arkansas University, where he earned a degree in electronics and computer technology. Jeff's diverse career spanned multiple industries, from insurance agent and adjuster to sales roles at Comcast Communications and Combined Ins. Co. His dedication and talent shone brightly at Swans Food Co., where he received numerous accolades, including the Salesman of the Year award. Most recently, he had ventured into the role of Insurance Entrepreneur and Agent, making a lasting impact on his clients and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence Gulley and Eva Lou Gulley, as well as his maternal grandparents, Willie Everette Young Jr., and Annie Mae Robinson Young. His father, Robert G. Gulley, one sister, Marcia Annette Young Gray, and stepfather, Sammie Gilmore.

Jeffrey's legacy will be honored by his mother, Pamela Young-Gilmore; his sisters,Natasha Gulley and Qunita Blueford; his brother Robert Meeks Jr.; his beloved daughter, Sumer Haynie; his stepmother, Annie Gulley; his special aunt, Mary Helen Billings; and his significant other, Christy Haynie.
