James Arnold

Mr. James Arnold, son of the late Horace Arnold and BeDessie Alderson, was born August 14, 1947, in El Dorado, Ar. He attended and was a graduate of New Hope High School. At an early age, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He was blessed with three sons, Anthony, Christopher, and Johnny.

James was of the Baptist faith and had previously worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and took pride in working on his farm, raising cattle, and growing a garden. He loved to go horseback riding, which he did many times over the years. He was a devoted Lakers fan and never missed the opportunity to watch a game and make false wagers with his wife and grandson, Johnny jr. More than anything, James loved his family and spending time joking with his loved ones. He quietly departed this life Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Arnold and BeDessie Alderson, and grandson Kevin Arnold.

His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Georgia Arnold; three sons, Anthony, Christopher, and Johnny and bonus children, Kelvin Steward (Epiphany) and Rachel Steward; grandchildren, great-grandchild; brothers, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
