Idera Roberson

Time to be born:

Sister Idera Roberson was born December 2, 1937, the daughter of Arthur and Fannie Beauers. She was the sixth of eight children.

Time to die: She fell asleep Monday, September 14, 2020, at Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado, AR.

Time to Love:

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Jerry Ray Roberson on October 6, 1956. To this union, they were blessed with four children, Jerry Wayne, Linda Diann, Cynthia Annett, Edna Mechell, and Chazare’ Lamont.

Time to Build:

Sister Roberson professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Having an unconditional love for God she served as a Sunday school teacher, Deaconess, Church secretary, and in the Missionary and Finance department. She later joined the Beulah Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she continued her work for the most high God.

Time to Earn:

Sister Roberson was a loving homemaker and stay at home mom. Once her children became school age, she then entered the workforce. She was employed at Cooper Tire as an assembly line worker, Union Memorial Hospital as a nurses’ aid, South Side School as a teacher’s assistant, and various private housekeeping jobs.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry Ray Roberson, Parents Arthur Beauers, Fannie Beauers, one grandchild, Joseph Ray Phillips, three sisters, Clara Allen, Lula Hunter, Queen Eutsey, and one brother Arlo Beauers.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Jerry Wayne Roberson( Barbara), Chazare’ Lamont Roberson of El Dorado, AR, Three daughters, Linda Diann Miller of El Dorado, AR, Cynthia Arnett Phillips of Little Rock, AR, Edna Mechell Boone of El Dorado, AR, three sisters, Fannie Mae Lowery, Annie Ruth Easter of El Dorado, AR, and Inez Lewis of Lanthrop, California, 14 grandchildren,26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
