Helen J. Durdin

Helen was the daughter of Gene Alan Durdin of Calion, Arkansas, and Shirley Harper of El Dorado, Arkansas. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1975. She worked as a dietitian and an in-home service provider. She attended college at SAU Magnolia and SAU Tech in East Camden earning an Associate of Arts degree as a state certified dietitian. Helen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, hanging out with friends, and crafting, especially making wreaths.

Helen was preceded by her father, mother, brother (Edward Earl Glover), and grandparents (Booker and Irene Harper)

She is survived by 1 daughter: Rolonda Michelle Banks (Alfred Banks), 1 son: Mr. Gavin J. Samuel of Seattle, WA, 3 uncles: BH Harper Sr. of Lynwood, California, James Harper of Los Angeles, CA, Roy H. Harper of El Dorado, AR, 1 aunt: Lillie Mae Brown of El Dorado, AR, 3 grandchildren: Dominick, Fu’tra, & Trey Banks, 5 nieces, 2 nephews, a host of other family, friends, and a lifelong friend Ella Faye. She will be remembered for her unique sense of humor and will be missed greatly.
