Gloria Abbott

Gloria was born on June 25, 1957, in Junction City, Louisiana, to the late Earnest "August" and Gertha Carroll. She attended school and later worked in Junction City. Gloria was a faithful member of New Life Worship Center until her health began to decline in March 2026.

In 1990, Gloria met the love of her life, George. After sharing more than three decades together, they united in marriage on June 22, 2024. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. Gloria had a welcoming heart, and her love was the glue that held her family together.

After fighting a good fight, Gloria transitioned from this earthly life on August 3, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest "August" and Gertha Carroll; three sisters, Betty Ann, Betty Joe, and Mary; two brothers, Earnest and Ervin; and her grandson, Bryson.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, George; four daughters, Lakesha (Nathan), Annie, Arnella (Charlie), and Tenike; two sons, Brodrick and Travis; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Her welcoming spirit, devotion to family, and enduring love will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
