George Edward Grimes was born August 26, 1961, to Willie & Dorothy Grimes in El Dorado, AR. He transitioned from his earthly home on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Chi St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

George graduated from Camden High School in 1980. He served in the United States Army Reserve. Throughout his journey, he was a diligent and hardworking individual. He was a dedicated full-time employee for the Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC). In addition, he worked part-time for Dixie Maintenance. He faithfully worked both jobs until his untimely death.

George gave his life to Christ at an Early Age. He was a member of Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR, where he served on the usher board.

George was known as "Chicken George" by those who knew him. George was well loved by his family and friends. George didn't meet a stranger. His affectionate smile and contagious joy would fill a room. He was known for helping and encouraging others. He had a love for dressing nicely and sporting fancy hats. George enjoyed spending time with family.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Dorothy Grimes; his sister, Tiffany Trezvant; his grandfathers, Dallas Howard and George Grimes; his grandmother, Ora Grimes; his aunt, Donzell Jackson; his uncles, Luther Ray Grimes and JB Grimes.

George was a beloved "Girl Dad." he leaves to cherish his three beautiful daughters, LaTangra Sims (Jermaine) of Camden, AR; KeTierra Jones (James) of Blytheville, AR; and Amber Grimes of Farmerville, LA. Grandsons: Tyrec Ellis, Demetrius Moore, Chandler Jones, Clayton Jones, Da'Karter Grimes, Kannon Champion. One granddaughter: Karmen Pace. Eight sisters: Connie Grimes, Karen Grimes of Camden, AR; Selena Grimes, Joy Jeffers-Bush (Robert), Tracy Sexton, and Tiara Saxton-Smith (Reggie) of Conway, AR; Jackie Roberts (John) of Pine Bluff, AR; and Cericka Gilmore (Marcus) of Russellville, AR. One aunt, Mary Grimes, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a Special Friend, Kameisha Jackson.
