On October 29, 1949, a beautiful baby girl from the union of William Amos Lockett and Evorn Lockett was born in Jacksonville, Florida.
God entered her life at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Summerfield, Louisiana, under the leadership of the late Rev. E.H. Houston.
Later she moved to El Dorado, Arkansas, and united with New Eastside Baptist Church under the late Rev. Lee Vell Faison.
Florence loved her family, especially cooking for her brothers. She always had a smile that would light up a room.
Her parents and two brothers, Dan and Van Lockett, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son Larry (Sonya) Lockett of El Dorado and two brothers, David Lockett and Thomas Lockett, both of El Dorado, AR. Grandchildren, Ra Jean Lockett, Kashenia Lemons, Lashenia Stanley, Courtney Easter, and Darnell Stanley. Great Grandchildren, Raeonne and Rae Lynn Lockett, Kaden Stanley, Deshundia Lemons, Alexis Stanley, Lanaya Stanley, Favorite Uncle and Aunt Clifford, and Julia Payne. Bonus sister Velma Hay. Two uncles, Willie (Sharman) Buggs, Bonnie (Faye) Buggs, and Aunt Betty (Thomas) Ridgell. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will miss Florence dearly.
