Fern Benson

Fern Redden–Benson was born February 26, 1944, in Marion, La to Rev. Aubrey Redden and Sis. Essieleen Redden. Fern departed this life on October 5, 2020, at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, AR.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Andrew A.M.E. in Huttig. Fern was a retiree of Securities for numerous years.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Woodie Benson, parents: Rev. Aubrey Redden and Sis. Essieleen Redden, two sisters: Mildred Redden and Katherine Ricks, Two daughters: Newanda Woods and Carol Wayne, grandson Quindeldrick Wayne, and great-grandson Brayden Daniel.

She leaves her cherished memories to her granddaughters Shemeka(Kevin)Potter, Monroe, La, Lakalshanee Woods (Andrew Daniel) El Dorado, AR, Janise Dismuke, Pine Bluff, AR, six great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
