Faye E. Wade

September 25, 1949 — May 2, 2023

Sister Faye Evelyn Wade was born September 25, 1949, in Union County, Arkansas, to O.B. and Gaudie Lee Ewing.

At an early age, Faye united with Jerusalem Quinn Baptist Church. As an adult and after relocating to town, she united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church under Dr. Ellis Wilkins. After several years, Faye reunited with Jerusalem, where she remained a faithful doorkeeper for the Lord until her health declined. Faye Evelyn, as many family members loved to call her, was a 1968 graduate of Booker T Washington High School. She worked as a presser at Hollywood Cleaners for 25-plus years. She loved her family as well as thrifting and working word search puzzles. Most of all, she loved serving the Lord.

In 1973 Faye was united in marriage with Casey Wade, and four children were born into this union.

Early Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023, Faye transitioned to her eternal home at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.B. and Gaudie Lee Ewing, one brother, Curtis Unice, her baby girl, Cassandra M. Reed, and one grandson, Marcus L. Reed.

To cherish her loving and precious memories, she leaves one loving and devoted daughter, Cacita (Cleo) Jamerson, and her two sons, Pastor Corey (Jeanette) Wade and Dexter Fifer, all of El Dorado, Arkansas. Faye also leaves her five brothers, Otis B. (Patricia) Ewing, Obie L. Ewing, and Timothy (Evelyn) Ewing, all of Michigan. Rev. Carl T. (Wendy) Ewing of Louisville, Kentucky, and Emanuel Ewing of Antioch, Tennessee. Her sisters, all of El Dorado, AR, Flossie Hall, Marilyn Stephens, Beverly (Edward Ray) Ford, and Constance (Curtis Dec.) Unice. One special aunt/2nd mother, Dorothy Benton, and her BFF/sister-in-luv, Brenda Stanley. Fourteen grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends who will miss her immensely.
